Film screenings & networking in the North East PDF Print E-mail
Popcorn Not Included is a series of screenings held in Newcastle which were set up to provide an outlet for the work of independent filmmakers in the North East.

Run by students on the BA Media Production course at Northumbria University, most of the work screened has been made on the course, although we also welcomed submissions from other students and local filmmakers. We were trying to create a focal point where regional talent can meet, show work and socialise, with the aim of encouraging collaboration.

Our screenings are often themed, for example on May the 18th we screened a selection of animations and our event,  held on Friday the 13th of October, consisted of horror themed shorts.
We screened a selection of short horror films made by students and professionals, with the addition of the Northumbria graduation film by Neil Marshall (Director of 'Dog Soldiers' and 'The Descent').

For news of our up-coming screenings, how to submit work and for any other information please check out our website;
