The search is on for the UK's best black and minority ethnic film ideas.
Blank Slate is B3 Media's Digital Shorts scheme that supports the next generation of filmmaking talent(writers, producers and directors) in the production of short digital films. B3 Media is inviting submissions from across the UK and will award eight projects £9,000 each to make their vision a reality... Blank Slate is a unique digital shorts film scheme, produced by B3 media, and aimed at supporting the next generation of black and minority ethnic filmmakers. Funded by the UK Film Council and Arts Council England, Blank Slate, now in its fourth year, has also become a UK-wide digital shorts scheme. As a strategic partner to the UK Film Council's Digital Shorts Scheme and with co-funding from the Arts Council England, B3 media are looking for up to 8 ethnically diverse filmmaking teams to produce a cutting edge short film, shot and edited digitally. These eight cutting edge shorts will be executive produced by B3 media through the scheme. B3 media is one of eleven other regional and national Digital Shorts partners supported by the UK Film Council's New Cinema Fund in nurturing new and existing short filmmaking talent. Filmmakers who apply successfully to BLANK SLATE will be offered bespoke training in the development of their idea from script to screen.
