Postcards From Glasgow's East End Adinda van’t Klooster
This short video is a collaboration between artist Adinda van 't Klooster and four musicians from the Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra. The music by Graeme Wilson (saxophone), Giles Lamb (keyboard), Neil Davidson (guitar) and George Lyle (bass) was created in response to a computer generated visual score provided by the artist. Based on this musical response Adinda van 't Klooster created new visuals. By contrasting desolate and economically deprived parts of Glasgow with colourful backgrounds, this film questions the hypocritical notion of the romantic view of economic deprivation which is only sustainable when perceived from the outside.
