The region's media agency NFM has halted grant applications for its main funding schemes. The agency is carrying out a review of its structure. "We are confident that the changes will allow us to better respond to the needs of the screen industries in the North East and help us better benefit the region," says a statement on the NFM website. The hiatus will not affect careers advice, the free script reading services, training workshops, events and the Stingers newsletter. "Once we have completed our review, we will be announcing some new schemes and services that will continue to strengthen the moving image sector in this North East region." Last October, NFM announced major changes in its strategic aims. |
