As usual organisers the DigitalCity will be showcasing some fantastic films created by filmmakers based in the Tees Valley.

Concept Film Night takes place in the University of Teesside's Centuria Building (which houses the School of Health) from 7.30pm. Attendees are invited to participate in the networking session which takes place in the University's Student Union bar afterwards

The Tournament (trailer) by Jonathan Frank/Scott Mann
An exclusive trailer of a big budget film written by former University of Teesside student Jonathan Franks. Currently in production, it will star Robert Carlyle and a host of other household names. Shooting starts in March.

Voices by WMDJ
Another Concept exclusive! WMDJ is a multimedia collaboration between musician Steve Thompson, photographer Peter Dixon and poet Tom Kelly. This compilation previews next month’s eagerly anticipated Kitch-en Gallery exhibition and regional tour.

Streetwalkers by Rob Lutter
A documentary about the disappearance of vice girls in Middlesbrough made by talented University of Teesside media student Rob Lutter.

Art Is Alive by Rusted Films
An experimental zombie horror short by innovative filmmaker Justin Capes.

Teen Diary by Garry Moore
An unusual movie by versatile Cleveland College of Art & Design student Garry Moore.

Stix by Little California Pictures
A comedy from Yarm based California Pictures which features Teesside actors Vic Reeves and Mark Benton.

Silhouettes by Louise Robinson
An abstract silent black & white short from Cleveland College of Art & Design’s Louise Robinson.

Gintha & The Enchantress (trailer) by Ron Singh
A sneak preview of Ronak Singh’s fantasy feature which approaches the issue of bullying in a unique and different way.

Where possible all of the films shown at the event will be introduced by the filmmakers themselves. The networking session which takes place in the Students Union Bar afterwards provides the opportunity to discuss the films with the people who made them.
