What is British cinema? How did it slip from worldwide domination to near non-existence? Ben Dickenson will relate the story of British films from 1929-1999, both dramatic and comic, and what they tell us about our society and culture.

Courses will take place at the Tyneside Cinema at the Old Town Hall, Gateshead.
